MEET THE FOUNDER
Hey, I'm Dimitri
I began my academic journey with a Bachelor of Health Science at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) but transitioned to the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 2020, where I graduated with a BSc Mathematics.
Part of why I decided to take start Axiom HSC Tutoring was to be able to provide my students with the direction and support that I feel I missed out on when I was in school. I believe having a mentor to guide you through these critical years is invaluable and that is what all our tutors aim to be
My teaching philosophy is based on mastering the fundamentals and employing effective learning strategies to help students build confidence, become critical thinkers, and achieve academic success through a deep understanding of course content.

Who is this program designed for?
For students entering Year 11 Maths Advanced or Extension 1 in 2026 who want stronger confidence, clearer understanding, better study systems, and reliable marks.
We support capable students who want to lift their results whether they’re rebuilding confidence, aiming for consistency, or pushing for a Band 6.
What subjects and year levels do you cover?
We specialise in HSC Maths:
Maths Advanced
Maths Extension 1
Our curriculum is designed specifically for the new Stage 6 content to keep students ahead and confident week-to-week.
This program is specifically for year 11 2026 students.
Who teaches the program?
The program is taught live by Dimitri, founder of Axiom, 10+ years tutoring experience, and a specialist in senior Maths with a proven track record of taking capable students from overwhelmed to confident to Band 6 ready.
Is this taught one-on-one or in groups?
It’s a high-support small-group program (8 students per class).
Students receive more structure, accountability, and interaction than 1-to-1 tutoring while still receiving targeted support directly from the teacher.
How much individual support will my child receive?
A lot.
Each student receives:
- targeted help during live sessions
- personalised feedback
- guidance on their strengths and weak areas
- access to additional live Q&A + workshops each week
The small-group model allows us to provide individualised coaching with more consistency than typical tutoring.
And every student initially receives a Success Plan and Study Study System personalised to them (we provide mandatory follow up sessions to make sure your child has implemented the plan and system).
Is it online or in person?
The program is delivered online, which allows:
- more frequent sessions
- flexible scheduling
- increased support
- access to live workshops
- better consistency during busy school terms

When does it start?
The 2026 Year 11 Maths Mastery Program begins 28th January 2026 just before the school term to ensure your child is actually ready to go back to school!

How much time does it require each week?
The program requires at least
1 × 120-minute session per week, plus optional (highly encourages) workshops and Q&A sessions
This routine creates steady progress without overwhelming already busy students.
It’s structured for real progress without burnout. When students become efficient in their skills, it means they don't have to spend as much time frustrated and getting nowhere. The intentional, guided time they will spend in these sessions will provide them a sense of relief knowing they're on the right track and never on their own.
